Our Ministries

Habitat For Humanity Holy Trinity was a major sponsor in building a new Habitat home for the Rohrer Family.  Jean-Marie and her three children lost their rented home in the February 2, 2007 tornado that hit Lake and Sumter counties.  Their lives were spared, but they were left nothing more.

The build lasted from March 8 through June 21, 2008.  Holy  Trinity parishioners also have an ongoing program with Habitat, collecting and preparing stamps that are then sold by Habitat to raise funds for their home building projects.

Choir and Music Ministry The Holy Trinity choir of 10-12  singers, under the musical leadership of our Music Director, sings at the 10 AM service on Sundays and on Holy Day and special services.  Our music is varied and includes everything from classical to chant to gospel arrangements.  Summer services  occasionally have guest musicians sharing their unique talents when the choir is on hiatus.  This ministry truly leads us in making ‘a joyful noise unto the Lord!’

Adult Forum   The Adult Forum is a group of parishioners that meets each Sunday between services in the parish hall. There is study and discussion on a variety of topics. Among the books we have used to focus ourselves are:  Those Episkopols by Rev. Dennis Maynard, an introduction to Episcopal mindset and traditions;     Glorious Companions by Richard Schmidt, a study of five centuries  of Anglican spirituality; and Kindness from the “Fruits of the Spirit” series, allowing us to examine our thoughts about and actions toward those around us.

Bible Study Bible Study on the Square, a.k.a. Prayer On The Square, is a gathering of folks interested in learning more about  scripture. Sitting in the unique setting of the Spanish Springs gazebo, we start with the gospel for the upcoming Sunday and then try to relate it to our own lives and the world around us, while sharing  companionship, spiritual growth and prayers with one another. Our discussions are always informal, hopefully non-threatening and usually thought provoking.
