In 2009 the budget takes on a much different focus. Determined to eliminate the budget’s dependence on savings income and the uncertainty of other income sources, the 2009 Budgeted Operations Income relies strongly on pledged income, which rose 34%, from $93,000 annually to the present $125,000 annually. Gone is the use of savings income, while other income is reduced by 25%.
In 2009 the Budgeted Operations Expenses, while meeting normal day-to-day expenses, continues to focus heavily on maintenance and facility improvements and repairs. This balanced budget also provides for the salary of a priest called in the latter part of 2009 and Search Committee expenses.
