The Heritage Campaign

The Holy Trinity Heritage Campaign, our capital campaign, was undertaken in 2007 to address several pressing needs within the parish, including (1) refurbish and repaint the exterior of the church building and parish house, (2) refinish floors in the church building and rectory, (3) pave the parking lot, (4) upgrade and refurbish the interior of the church building and parish hall, (5) renovate the interior of the rectory, and (6) replace the organ. The    Campaign to date has been a great success overall and much has been accomplished during 2008 as a result of the generous contributions by the parishioners of Holy Trinity.

Holy Trinity raised $161,172 in gifts and pledges during the initial Campaign fundraising. While that initial effort was short of the $230,635 goal, we have found that

much more can be done with the lesser amount, especially when the Holy Trinity family rolls up its sleeves and pitches in.   During 2008, funds from the Campaign allowed us to finally pave the church parking lot, a project that had been put off for several years because of a lack of funds.

The restoration of the exterior of the church has been completed.  Inside the church the old carpet has been

removed, and the flooring has been repaired and refinished to its original beauty. Work has now begun on renovating our rectory, with most of the work being done by parishioners.

Along with the Heritage Campaign projects we have been refurbishing other areas of our facilities and found that working together gives us a joyful, prayerful sense of fulfillment.  A group of us tackled the Parish Hall by painting the interior, replacing a temporary stage

with a permanent one, replacing our old carpet with laminate flooring and adding old photographs of the church and its people and other artifacts to decorate the hall.  Another group painted and updated the adjacent restrooms, while a third group repainted the kitchen walls, painted the kitchen cabinets, updated the cabinet hardware, and replaced windows and lighting.  A group also repainted and reorganized the choir room and what had been a much neglected library.  Several women kept the workers fed during the process.
