IMPORTANT STUFF - WHEN TIDINGS IS LATE!

Hi Everyone!

Well, I’ve decided to get off my butt and go back to work full time! It’s at the Villages Hospital &

I’m enjoying it very much. Only drawback is I’ll need to reorganize my time for TIDINGS and other

activities, so this month’s edition will be a bit late. Ironically, it’s all about communication! So here’s

some important events that can’t wait……

THIS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8

CHOIR PRACTICE RESUMES

Come join the Choir! WE'VE MISSED YOU!! The

season kicks off with a pizza party on Wednesday,

September 8th at 6:30, in the Parish Hall, followed

by rehearsal. Both seasoned veterans and

newcomers are welcome! If you love the Lord, like

to sing and have a good time, then Choir is for you.

Don't forget, we even provide clothes for you to wear on Sundays! Let

Sharon know if you are interested! This Wednesday, come and sing for your supper!

Rainbow Tubing Redux- Return of the River Rats!

Meet at Sweetbay Grocery in

Belleview

(Where 441 & 301 join)

We’re repeating this very popular event from

last year. We will carpool or have a car

caravan from Sweetbay supermarket in

Belleview to the Rainbow River. Fr. Michael Rowell will again lead us

in an ear-shattering “Michael Row Your Boat Ashore” We all had a blast last year, but unfortunately,

the Cunninghams will not be joining us! The tube rental is $10, plus deposit. $5 per car to enter

Rainbow Springs State Park. Tubing takes about 2 hours, followed by lunch at a local eatery.

Please bring a snack or item to share

One of the Parish’s best social events is Holy Trinity’s Dinner Groups. Everyone is invited

to join, and the groups consist of both dining-in and dining out. Groups are relatively small,

and we’ll be leaving space for snow-birds as they return. We’ll be tossing names in two hats:

one for dining-out, one for dining-in, to form new groups. You do not need to attend the

Sunday Social to be included in a group. Just sign-up in the Parish Hall, or email Barb

Coulter at tcbarb10@aol.com, or call her at 352-751-7311. The goal of this ministry is to

help people get to know each other from various parts of the parish. Many older, established

groups have become so close, they still go out on their own!

Looking to explore issues of faith and get deeper into the Sunday

readings? Everyone is welcome to join our group, meeting at McCall’s Tavern (just behind

Katie Belle’s). We represent all parts of the parish- with anywhere from 1-2 dozen

parishioners sharing scripture study, fellowship and food. We have the restaurant to

ourselves for the gathering. Members can get coffee, a delicious breakfast sandwich, or, as

many of us do, order lunch for around 11am & stay to socialize.

every month to talk about women’s issues-

ranging the whole gamut of topics, not just
